On February 1, 2011 the doors opened to our clinic. The building was formerly a residential home that was redesigned by Dr. Best and her husband, Don, to be a multi-service veterinary clinic that offers compassionate care to both the patient and the owner.
From the moment you walk into Well Point Veterinary Service you know that you are in the care of a veterinarian whose foremost concern is your pet's well-being. However, our practice may be different from what you are accustomed to. When you enter the examination room you stay with your pet throughout the entire procedure to provide comfort and security to them. And, you can feel comfortable discussing your concerns about your pet directly with the veterinarian. The veterinarian will discuss treatment options for your pet, if necessary, and provide you with enough information to help you make an informed decision.
COVID-19 Protocol Updates
March 16, 2023- We welcome you to be present for your pet’s exams without a face covering if you are healthy! Our protocol is:
1) We ask that you continue to call or text us when you arrive for your pet’s appointment. If a room is available, we will show you to an exam room and a technician will get the needed information about the reason for your visit and your pet’s current condition/check you in. After the appointment is over, we will either complete the invoicing and payment in the exam room or at our front desk. 2) We ask that you limit the number of family members coming into the appointment to 1 person, or 2 people at the most, as our exam rooms are small and dogs and cats are often more stressed in crowded spaces. 3) We will continue to have you call us for medication pick-ups and any sample drop-offs and we will come out to you in the parking lot. This will help limit the noises in the building that are often stressful to our patients. 4) We will now to do surgery and day procedure check-ins in an exam room. Please call our office when you arrive and we will show you to an exam room. Before you leave, the doctor or technician will discuss the exam and treatment plan. 5) We have recently lifted our mask requirement and are allowing clients and team members to be in the building without a face covering if they are in good health. If you prefer to wear a mask, please feel free to. Finally, we understand that every individual’s comfort level is different. If you would prefer not to enter the building, and your pet is not stressed by being separated from you, we encourage you to let us know and we will continue to offer curbside services. At the end of the appointment, we will call you to discuss the exam and treatment plan. We hope that this new protocol will keep us and everyone’s pets safe, happy, and healthy. That is our ultimate goal, and we will continue to adapt to meet it in a continually changing world! Thank you for your understanding and for taking such good care of your pets. Sincerely, Well Point Veterinary Service
